As one of New Jersey’s largest, non-profit health systems, Virtua provides comprehensive health care services to achieve its mission to help people be well, get well and stay well. Virtua provides services through Virtua Medical Group with 500 physicians and other clinicians, and at its urgent care centers, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, health and wellness centers, fitness centers, home health services, long-term care and rehabilitation centers, and paramedic program.

A leader in maternal and child health services, Virtua delivers more than 8,000 babies a year. It provides health services to 1,500 businesses, and participates in VirtuaPhysicianPartners, a clinically integrated network of 1,000 physicians and other clinicians. Virtua is affiliated with Penn Medicine for cancer and neuroscience and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for pediatrics. It employs over 9,000 and has been honored as the #1 Best Place to Work in the Delaware Valley many times since 2007. It is the recipient of a 4-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for quality of care, and its hospitals earned straight A’s in patient safety by The Leapfrog Group. U.S. News and World Report ranked Virtua’s Mount Holly and Voorhees hospitals as High Performing Hospitals and Voorhees as a Best Regional Hospital.


Business Situation:

Virtua Health System worked with another practice management company and employed a different office manager prior to hiring Our Medical Services. Many different challenges were being encountered with previous vendors regarding limited dictation options, having no highly available repositories of transcribed reports and smoothness dictation workflow of jobs with in specific given turnaround time.

Outcome:

Diskriter activated a robust Revenue Cycle Management process which include medical transcription with Authentic Customer Service, TAT, Quality, and Project Implementations which helps VHS to achieve their goal of delivering an outstanding patient experience. Diskriter ensures that our transcription and other reports shall be grammatically correct to include punctuation, proper tense. We follow the guidelines of the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI).

  • Standard toll free dictation access.
  • Front end speech recognition with self editing options or standard PC based dictation that uploads for traditional transcription.
  • Digital, portable hand helds with secure, logged software (can run in dedicated mode or server mode)
  • Hands free dedicated dictation stations used with toll free access.

  • Different options were provided for report deliveries as per the Client specification.

  • Given a range from 2 hours to 72 hours of turnaround time for jobs completion, based on client specifications. Provided a hierarchy of support escalation, including direct access to higher levels of management and to level 2 and level 3 technical associates.
